Unique Wedding Traditions in Las Vegas

Getting married in Las Vegas? You might consider incorporating one of these Vegas-style traditions into your ceremony.

Shot of Vodka Ritual
Fill two shot glasses, half full of your favorite spirit (vodka, run, gin, or whisky). Each person first sips from their own glass. This symbolizes that each party will preserve his or her independence. Next, the couple shares a silent toast. To show your unity, exchange shot glasses and take a swig. As a symbol of your new union, pour some liquor into a third shot glass. Finally, both of you will take turns drinking from the third shot glass.

Fountain Ritual
Within a hour of exchanging vows, together toss coins into a fountain. Make a wish for your marriage.

Lucky Gamblers Ritual
On the day of your wedding, place a gambling chip on your person. You can put a gambling chip in your shoe or have it sown to your wedding gown.

Something New
Purchase your wedding bands in Vegas or from a Vegas-based vendor. You can also have thel acronym LV engraved on your wedding rings.

“Sole” Mates
Prior to your wedding, write a love message on the soles of your fiance’s shoes.
